Role: Central platform for policy formulation and sectoral planning.

Key Functions

• Develop growth strategies and sector plans
• Align development projects with provincial priorities
• Conduct macroeconomic and sectoral analysis
• Provide technical advisory support
• Monitor implementation of strategies

Outcome: Evidence-based planning and stronger alignment between policy and projects.

External Financing Unit (EFU)

Role: Centralized hub for foreign-funded programs and projects.

Key Functions

• Design and appraisal of donor-funded projects
• Project readiness assessments
• Clearing support to PEFAC
• Donor coordination and negotiations
• Monitoring of off-budget donor programs

Outcome: Improved quality, faster approvals, and higher impact of foreign-funded investments.

Mega Projects Unit (MPU)

Role: Dedicated unit for Punjab’s largest development projects.

Key Functions

• Advanced project controls and dashboards
• Contract and claims management
• Risk management and mitigation
• Performance monitoring and reporting
• Capacity building of line departments

Outcome: Timely, cost-effective, and transparent delivery of mega projects.
